Research Study on Veterinary Student Wellness and DEI

Researchers  at  the  University  of  Tennessee-Knoxville  are currently recruiting participants for a research study examining wellness and diversity, equity, and inclusion in US Colleges of Veterinary Medicine. The study involves completing an interest survey  (less  than  5  minutes).  Depending  on  your  role, participation will involve one 60-90 minute focus group online via Zoom, OR participate in one 60-minute interview. Participation is confidential. If you have questions, contact the researchers at plinden@utk.edu or lwiborg1@utk.edu.

For focus group participants ($50 Amazon gift card compensation), we are seeking:

  • Current students enrolled in Colleges of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Faculty, students, and staff who are providing mental health and wellness services for students currently enrolled in Colleges of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Veterinarians who have graduated from a College of Veterinary Medicine since 2017.

For interview participants, we are seeking:

  • Veterinarians who have voluntarily left the clinical veterinary profession to pursue a different career.
  • Student wellness leaders in US Colleges of Veterinary Medicine.
