Adaptive Transdisciplinary and Participatory (APT) Research

Adaptive participatory and transdisciplinary (APT) research is a framework that emphasizes the need for adaptive strategies that can respond to changing conditions, participatory approaches that involve local stakeholders in decision-making, and transdisciplinary methods that integrate knowledge from various disciplines. This framework aims to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of decision-making processes to solve urgent problems facing the world today.

For examples of these types of urgent problems, see The United Nations

This is a qualitative research project with the ASPCA to explore how lower income, Spanish and English speaking veterinary clients of cats and dogs attending routine and problem based appointments, perceive and talk about their pets’ Quality of Life. Manuscript from the research is in preparation
